Ginger and Minx Hats:

With an undeniable passion for hat styling, our brand brings forth a distinctive collection of perfectly imperfect hats designed to reflect the unique individuality of each wearer. Embracing a chic vintage boho western feel, our creations are born from a process of reworking and restyling each hat. Crafted from 100% wool, these hats boast a stylishly vintage aesthetic, each uniquely named and themed, creating a personalized touch for our customers with the hat names embroidered inside each one.

The artistry behind our hats lies in the meticulous techniques employed, including hand-painting, distressing, burning, and intricate embellishments. The use of various materials, from silk and bandanas to vintage brooches and 1800s hardware, defines our unique aesthetic.  No two hats are identical, ensuring that each piece is a true original work of art. We extend our creativity beyond hats, offering distressed and bleached flannel shirts with custom handmade patches, vintage-inspired vests, and denim jackets to complete the perfectly curated ensemble.

These hats serve as a testament to the transformative power of self-expression, turning ordinary outfits into extraordinary statements. Our brand stands as a beacon for those seeking not just hats, but an embodiment of strong independence and sassy individuality in every design. As we step into 2024, our commitment deepens with the introduction of hats crafted entirely from scratch. Stay tuned….

The Stylist:

My love affair with fashion and hats ignited at the tender age of 12 when I borrowed a sewing machine and, more notably, my grandfather's fedora. To this day, I can't recall if I ever returned either, but it was a fair exchange for the passion that took root in me. Growing up in Southern California, I was determined to set myself apart, crafting most of my high school wardrobe in defiance of conformity. Endless hours were spent in fabric stores, immersing myself in the world of textures and color combinations, sewing well into the early morning.

My educational journey led me to major in fashion merchandising at ASU, an endeavor that faced challenges when my plaid jodhpurs clashed with the department head's understanding of my style. Seeking solace and self-discovery, I took a detour to San Diego, where beach days and college classes became my compass. Eventually finding my way to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in L.A., I delved into the intricate world of the clothing industry, particularly denim, sparking a lasting obsession with its unique details.

Life's path evolved, and I found myself navigating advertising sales and marketing in the publishing industry, following in my father's footsteps. Being a creative person I started my own lifestyle magazines, including the cherished Calabasas Style, which marked a significant chapter in my life. Now, we that we call Franklin, TN home, I've circled back to my roots, reigniting my passion for fashion and hats. It's a journey of rediscovery, embracing our perfectly imperfect style as the tapestry of uniqueness, and crafting designs that echo my enduring love for fashion, color, fabric texture, and design.

Special thanks to the support of my husband Randy, my kids and my friends to encourage me to follow my creative journey wherever that might lead me! <3
